– Annual MLK Parade – Las Vegas

Starting at 10:00 AM in downtown Las Vegas, the Annual MLK Parade’s theme for this year is “Living the Dream – The Time is Right to Do What’s Right.”

Open for all, the parade consists of features contributed by schools, churches, non-profit organizations, and businesses, representatives from many political and social organizations, and marching bands.

A boisterous celebration of MLK’s life, this parade is an event you can’t afford to miss out on.

– Vegas Cup Weekend MLK Weekend

Hosted by GotSoccer, the 2020 Vegas Cup is more of a low-key celebration. It lets you enjoy a three-day weekend, giving you the chance to watch teams from around 24 various associations battle it out on the field. A top-level competition, the Vegas Cup can get intense for those who love the sport, but at the end of the day, it’s all just good, clean fun.

For just one day, take the time out and visit some of Las Vegas’ top soul food restaurants, such as Gritz Café, Yardbird Southern Table and Bar, M&M Soul Food, Soul Food Café, and more. Have some of MLK’s favorite foods, such as Pecan Pie, Fried Chicken, Steak, and Mac and Cheese, and revel in the beauty of the feast. Even if you’re not a foodie, you’ll still enjoy the experience of having something that MLK absolutely loved.
