How to Explore the Boston Freedom Trail the Right Way

How to Explore the Boston Freedom Trail the Right Way

Over the years, the Boston Freedom Trail has become one of the most popular trails in the US. However, travelers often opt for a quick visit, and end up missing out on a lot of adventure and historical significance the Freedom Trail has to offer. In this blog, we’ll help you explore the popular trail the right way.

1. Take Some Time to Explore the Old Corner Bookstore

If you’re opting for a tour of the Freedom Trail, your tour guide may or may not encourage you to spend more time at the Old Corner Bookstore. If they don’t, make sure you insist on lingering for a bit longer. And if you’re skipping a tour altogether, you have plenty of time to take in the incredible nostalgia this quaint bookstore has to offer.

If you’re an avid reader, you’ll fall in love with this place. Even if you’re not too fond of reading, the Old Corner Bookstore will transport you to the incredible locations that were portrayed in your favorite childhood books.

2. Visit the Old North Church

The Old North Church is often overlooked. However, it’s one of the most historically significant locations along the Freedom Trail. The incredible colonial-style church launched the American Revolution.

We recommend opting for a specialty tour of the oldest surviving church in Boston. You’ll be reminded of the time that Paul Revere hung the lantern to signal the arrival of the British army.

3. Revisit the Freedom Trail

If you’re visiting Boston for the first time, we recommend visiting the Freedom Trail again towards the end of your trip. This will help you visit locations that were initially overlooked, and have a better experience of the Freedom Trail. You can also plan a second trip when you revisit Boston. However, we strongly recommend exploring it at least twice.

Before you get started, make sure your bags and luggage are taken care of. Instead of lugging them around at the Boston Freedom Trail, safely drop them off at Cubby!

We offer affordable luggage storage services at multiple locations across Boston. Once you drop off your luggage, our cubbers will care for it until it’s time for you to grab and go.

At Cubby, each bag is insured for up to $750and secured with a uniquely coded tamperproof bag seal. In addition, we secure our locations with cameras. Our cubbers are carefully vetted to ensure your belongings are in safe hands.

If you’re ready to go un-bagged at $5.90/day, get started with our 3-minute online booking process. Our services also extend to Las Vegas, Washington DC, Austin, Atlanta, Houston, Fort Worth, Dallas, Galveston, and San Antonio.
