Things You Can’t Miss in Austin
There are several stereotypes attached to Austin: such as it being a land of tech-savvy hippies, that it gets really hot, and that everyone carries a guitar around—and that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
But Austin is greater than the stereotypes that surround it. In fact, it’s full of amazing activities and places. You just need to know where to find them.
Umlauf Sculpture Garden and Museum
The Umlauf Sculpture Garden and Museum houses some of the most aesthetic and masterful sculptures you’ll ever see. These are all the works of the talented Charles Umlauf and some of his contemporaries.
It’s both an artistic and an educational experience—not to mention very relaxing.
The Texas State Capitol
The Texas State Capitol building isn’t just a place you take your kids to for an educational day out. It’s also one of the prettiest buildings in Texas—and it’s full of history. There are tours every day, most of them being under 30 minutes. It’s a brilliant idea if you have children with you. Of course, self-guided tours are also an option.
The icing on top? You won’t be charged for visiting!
The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center
Situated inside the University of Texas, The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center is an excellent educational avenue if you’re interested in fauna and flora.
A thorough botanical and zoological experience, the Center is great for both adults and children. It’s a relaxing, bucolic environment that sets you at ease.
Mountain Biking at Barton Creek Greenbelt
If you’re a nature person, Barton Creek Greenbelt is bound to be a source of absolute delight. Think stunning limestone cliffs, narrow lanes, and wooded regions that are perfectly chiseled for hiking—nothing relaxes the tired traveler like a walk through this tamed wilderness. Natural swimming pools also dot the region.
It’s the perfect spot for a leisurely walk while you recite one of Robert Frost’s poems.
And While You’re Having Fun in Austin
It’s no fun going around Austin if you have several suitcases behind you. Not only does it make traveling less exciting, but it also slows you down. And that isn’t all. With your luggage around you, you’re constantly worried about losing valuables.
It’s a constant source of stress that you can easily get rid of—by leaving your luggage in a secure, vetted Cubby destination. We operate in a number of cities, including Dallas, Atlanta, Galveston, Fort Worth, Boston, Houston, Washington D.C., Las Vegas, and, of course, Austin. Luggage storage has never been this easy!
