Your Guide for Interstate Traveling with Kids

Your Guide for Interstate Traveling with Kids

Kids will be kids.

And as a parent, you probably already know how difficult it is to travel with them. You need to make sure they’re entertained at all times, and that they don’t distract other passengers on the plane.

So if you’re traveling interstate for two days with them, we understand that you’re looking to make the trip as stress-free as possible.

Luckily, we’ve got a list of tips to help make everything easier for you.

Make Sure You’re Ready For Everything

Your kids need to have some form of entertainment to keep them engaged. One of the reasons for this is that kids can easily get anxious during flights. So if your child is afraid of flying, keeping them entertained will distract them, making everything less stressful.

Kids generally feel anxious when flying because they feel confined, as they have to sit in one place for hours.

The best way to tackle this problem is by planning ahead. So bring all the chargers and power banks you have. Bring your tablet and laptop too. Make sure to download your child’s favorite movies and games to keep them preoccupied. Watching their favorite movie will help them feel safer and more relaxed.

You can also create a playlist with their favorite songs (along with yours) a day before the trip. This should keep them entertained for the rest of the flight so you don’t have to worry about anything.

Keep Snacks on Hand

You know how cranky your child can get when they’re hungry. And when you’re waiting for your flight, the last thing you want is to buy expensive airport food.

That’s why we recommend keeping snacks if you have a long layover of more than five hours.

We recommend keeping snacks in your hand carry. Granola bars, fresh fruits (apples and pears so they don’t get crushed), PB&J sandwiches, or a grilled chicken sandwich are good options.
